| Today one of my two nightmares occurred, some sort of engine damage has occurred (the second nightmare is theft btw). At this point we don't know exactly know what the problem is, initial thoughts are a spun rod bearing. The car is still holding oil pressure though, no smoke came out when this happened and no fluid leaks have been found at this point. Lots of knocking though. I can't explain how incredibly angry I am right now. I see guys who beat the hell out of their stock motors and nothing ever happens. We build a great motor and this happens, I just don't get it. Guess sh#t happens. The motor comes out tomorrow night and we'll find out what's wrong and how bad the damage is. I'm hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Now for the issues to be: A. Will we fix it? Yes
B. Will it be better? Yes
C. Will I keep it? ???, I'm talking out of anger right now so I will probably change my mind after the 12 beers I'm going to drink here shortly but I'm beginning to understand why Wagz, Chris and others are considering selling their cars if they haven't already sold them. Again, I'm venting here but the car may be for sale after it's all said and done. Thanks to Mickie and Zdude32 for staying with me on the side of the highway and making sure the tow driver treated the car right and also thanks to SilverTwin(OH) for recommending the tow service which was great.
